Light Industrial Staffing RFP: The Requirements That Matter
A generic staffing RFP template gets generic proposals. A light industrial RFP earns comparable, decision-ready responses by specifying the five things below - then build the full document in our free 13-section builder.
Specify these, or regret it
- Safety orientation and OSHA duties. Who trains, who documents, and how site-specific orientation is evidenced per worker.
- Volume ramp commitments. Peak-season headcount ramps with lead times - measured, not aspirational.
- Time capture method. Clock hardware or mobile capture, and how disputed hours resolve before invoicing.
- Workers compensation experience. Require the supplier’s current experience modification rate - it prices their safety record.
- Attendance and backfill SLAs. Same-day no-show backfill commitments at the shift level.
Sample requirement language
"Supplier shall provide site-specific safety orientation for each worker prior to first shift, maintain documentation for audit, and disclose its current workers compensation experience modification rate annually."
Evaluation weighting note
For light industrial programs, weight compliance and sector expertise above the generic baseline in our evaluation guide - the failure modes in this vertical are compliance failures, not rate failures.
