Healthcare Staffing RFP: The Requirements That Matter
A generic staffing RFP template gets generic proposals. A healthcare RFP earns comparable, decision-ready responses by specifying the five things below - then build the full document in our free 13-section builder.
Specify these, or regret it
- Credentialing standards. Which credentials, verified by whom, refreshed how often - and the maximum age of verification at shift start.
- Credential-expiry handling. Require suppliers to describe how expiring credentials block scheduling before they lapse, not after.
- Joint Commission awareness. If your facilities are accredited, state it and require supplier processes to match.
- Shift-level fill SLAs. Per diem and block-schedule fill commitments measured at the shift, not the month.
- Clinical quality signals. Do-not-return rates and clinical incident reporting, with denominators.
Sample requirement language
"Supplier shall verify licensure, certifications, and immunization records prior to first shift and maintain continuous monitoring; any credential lapse shall automatically remove the worker from the schedule until re-verified."
Evaluation weighting note
For healthcare programs, weight compliance and sector expertise above the generic baseline in our evaluation guide - the failure modes in this vertical are compliance failures, not rate failures.
